EDM
EDM, also known as electronic dance music, is a broad umbrella term for all of the music genres that are characterized by upbeat tempos, digital instruments, and more. It is known for its use of machine-made sounds, sampling, and an emphasis on rhythmic and melodic beats. Some examples of popular genres are house, dubstep, trance, and techno.
Electronic dance music is often played at clubs, music festivals, or raves where a DJ mixes and produces music in front of a live audience. The DJ will often build presets, or sample from other musicians’ works to create a remix.
