Drum and Bass

As the name implies, the drum and bass genre focuses heavily on bass modulation and fast paced drums. It uses a kick and snare pattern of rhythm, and multiple breaks in melody between the drums. Drum and bass is highly complexed and energized, with the bpm being around 170-180.

Mood/vibe

Drum and Bass will make listeners want to nod their head or tap their foot along to the melody. It’s upbeat, yet chill at the same time. Drum and bass is something that can be heard playing over speakers in a tropical setting, or while cleaning around the house. Its a genre that emphasizes high end production and experimentation with new patterns and melodies.
